Entry Requirements

Video

Entrants should create an original video (eg: music video, film, short documentary). The video must be created using Final Cut Studio and/or Final Cut Express, and should be no more than five minutes in length. Entrants in the Video category are required to submit a .zip file (no more than 40MB in size) containing the following content:

  • Your movie in H.264 Quicktime Pro format (with English subtitles, where applicable).
  • Original artwork for the video, which could work as a cover for a DVD. For example, this could be a picture of you, or an image you have chosen (or created) to complement the video.
  • A brief document detailing the development of the video, no more than 500 words or eight slides in length. This document should answer the following questions:
    1. Which tools (applications, plugins) did you use to create your project?
    2. What is the message of the video?
    3. Where did you get the inspiration for the video?
    4. What challenges did you face during the creation/production process?
    5. Which features of Final Cut Studio did you find most useful?
    6. Was there anything missing that could have helped with the creation of your project?

Audio

Entrants should create an original song. The song must be created using Logic Pro and/or Logic Express, and should be no longer than five minutes in length. Entrants in the Audio category are required to submit a .zip file (no more than 40MB in size) containing the following content:

  • Your song in MP3 format.
  • The song lyrics (translated into English, where applicable).
  • Original artwork for the song, which could work as a cover for a CD. For example, this could be a picture of you or your band, or an image you have chosen (or created) to complement the song.
  • A brief document detailing the development of the song, no more than 500 words or eight slides in length. This document should answer the following questions:
    1. Which tools (instruments, applications) did you use to create your project?
    2. What is the message of the song?
    3. Where did you get the inspiration for the song?
    4. What challenges did you face during the creation/production process?
    5. Which features of Logic Studio did you find most useful?
    6. Was there anything missing that could have helped with the creation of your project?

If you are selected as a winner in either category you will be asked to send us a higher quality version of your song or video on a DVD. We will use the DVD to showcase your project during the awards ceremony.
